A Little Q&A:
What is your pre-derby skating/sports background?
“I like to channel my inner Forrest Gump and run. I’ve been running half marathons for the last 4 years and one day hope to run the London Marathon.”

How did you choose your derby name and number?
“I chose my number because of my dad. He played sports when I was growing up and he always wore 45. It’s my favorite number and reminds me of him when I put my jersey on. Also it was the same number worn by Rudy Ruettiger from Notre Dame (my favorite college team of all time)  My derby name is my nickname that was given to me by my friend/ fellow skater Stella Hot Mess.”

Is there anyone on your team that you work really well with?
“Pamm*Tastic and I work really well on the track together.”

It’s Game Day: What are you thinking about when you’re lacing up your skates?
“Don’t throw up!”

What is your favorite motivational quote?
“When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro…” -Hunter S. Thompson

Playing Roller Derby is like having a second job, what’s your day job?
“I am an authorization coordinator/ medical biller in the oncology department for one of the local hospitals.  I really like what I do and like helping people.”

What would you say to new skaters starting derby?
“Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things.”

What’s your favorite food to fuel your derby body?
“Coffee… Coffee Coffee and more Coffee and a breakfast burrito!”

Who inspires you?
“My parents, they have always been my biggest supporters in everything I do.”

Last question: What’s your goal for this season?
“Learn to jam.”
